Extrémní počasí

„Extrémní počasí“ is the Czech term for „extreme weather.“ In the context of climate science and meteorology, it refers to weather conditions that are significantly outside the norm for a given region and time of year. This encompasses various phenomena, including severe storms, hurricanes, intense rainfall, droughts, heatwaves, and cold snaps. Extreme weather events can lead to considerable impacts on the environment, ecosystems, and human life, including health issues, property damage, and disruptions to infrastructure. Understanding and predicting extreme weather are crucial for disaster preparedness, response strategies, and adapting to climate change, as such events are expected to become more frequent and severe due to global warming.
