Fotbal

Fotbal, commonly known as soccer in some regions, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score goals by getting the ball into the opposing team’s net. The sport is played on a rectangular field known as a pitch, with a goal at each end. Players can use any part of their bodies except their arms and hands to control the ball, although goalkeepers are allowed to use their hands within the penalty area. The game consists of two halves, typically lasting 45 minutes each, with a 15-minute halftime break. Fotbal is governed internationally by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and is widely regarded as the world’s most popular sport, with millions of players and fans globally. The term „fotbal“ is derived from the sport’s name in several languages, underscoring its international appeal and cultural significance. While variations of the game exist, such as futsal or beach soccer, the standard form is played according to the Laws of the Game set forth by FIFA.
